Take Time to Stop and Smell the Roses

And take pictures of them, too. This is just a small sampling of my flower collection, but as you can see on the right there, I have a page set up for them. Here's today's tidbits. Most of these were taken on my street.

Below are cedar cones. The tree next door is heavy with them.

Monday's Lot

For now I'm just posting pictures randomly. I'll get a method to my madness soon, and I'm putting collection pages together. There'll be my autumn collection, my car collection and others. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking the photos.

This photo was taken on Mississippi Avenue during their street party. Two dogs are looking out the upstairs bedroom, watching all the action. So cute!

This one was taken at Pioneer Courthouse Square during the spring flower sale.

During the Rose Festival when all the ships were in town. Look at that woman, she looked him up and down as he walked by.

We love downtown. Did you know the Fox tower was built that shape so that it wouldn't shade Pioneer Courthouse Square too much in the afternoon? Well, it was. You can't see much of it in this view, though.

We love the farmer's markets, too.

You don't see too many of these signs around anymore.

We covered an event between the water and the freeway (I-5). The railroad is so magnetic and lonely-looking.

That's it for today. I'll get busy on those collection pages soon.

The Journey Begins

Most of these pictures were taken in Portland, Oregon, and some of them in other places. I've always loved taking photos, but I never got into the science of it until recently. Though I am a novice, I turn out some pretty cool pictures. You're welcome to any of them you like, as long as you link back to this page and give me credit for them. Each post will offer new things to see and ponder and as time permits I'll be adding collection pages.
