Birds That Frequent the Feeders Here

There is such an array of birds that come to ML's yard! Mostly small birds (a variety of sparrows, some swallows, chickadees, starlings, finches, red-winged blackbirds, varied thrushes, humming birds [tons of these]). There's also mourning doves, spotted towhees, northern flickers, stellar blue jays, crows, Canadian geese, turkey vultures, hawks, and I can't think of any more, but I'm sure there's some I've forgotten.

Here are photos of some that attend ML's feeder, and there's some new moon shots and cloud shots, too. Don't forget, you can click on a photo to see it at original size.

The above is a Red-Winged Blackbird. You can't see too much of his red bar on his wing.

The baby chickadees were learning to fly. So cute!

The male Gold Finch is so bright and pretty. The females are more of a green-gold color. The other bird in the above picture is a Fox Sparrow.

The Mourning Doves sound so cool... and they sound kind of like owls at times.

2 Fox Sparrows, a male Gold Finch and a male Purple-Faced Finch.

The above is a Fox Sparrow.

The above is a Spotted Towhee. About the size of a Starling or Robin.

Those red eyes are freaky!

Another Mourning Dove. They come for the cracked corn tossed around the yard.

Stellar Blue Jays sound like little pterodactyls and they can be really mean to (even kill) smaller birds. They're very cool, but I don't like their screechy sounds or bad habits.

They do look cool, though, don't they?

Mourning Doves feeding with White-Crowned Sparrows.

Baby Chickadees are my favorite! Such personality, too!

The above is a Swallow that's chosen this house to raise babies in.

My other favorite! Humming Birds.

I usually don't notice the orange tones in our local sunsets.

Lola!

Thanks so much for looking at these photos. Please come again.
